5S Elements--Sort, Shine, Set, Standardize & Sustain

5S is a method to reduce waste and optimise productivity through maintaining an orderly workplace and using visual cues to achieve more consistent operational results. Five S drives a cleaner environment and organises the workplace. It is one of the first Lean Manufacturing activities that companies implement on their Lean adoption. it can be much more than this if approached properly.
By implementing a 5s Training program you can rapidly have an impact on your production environment and facilities with a minimal expenditure. Most companies have reported 5% efficiency improvement in several month's, which is sustainable over time

When starting on your Lean Manufacturing campaign one of the first tools you will look to deploy is Five S. All our TOOLSETS are provided in electronic format allowing you to take control of your own programs.

The Five S pillars:

Sort (Seiri)

Set in Order (Seiton)

Shine (Seiso)

Standardize (Seiketsu)

and Sustain (Shitsuke)
